“经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们洗净杯子、盘子的外面，里面却盛满了贪心和放纵。

「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裏面卻盛滿了勒索和放蕩。

『經學士和法利賽人、假冒為善的人哪，你們有禍啊！因為你們潔淨杯盤的外面；裏面呢、卻滿了勒索和放縱。

「經文士和法利賽人哪，你們這些偽善的人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯子、盤子的外面，裡面卻盛滿了貪心和放縱。

禍哉、爾偽善之士子與法利賽人乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而內充以劫奪邪侈也、

偽善之士子、𠵽唎㘔人、其有禍乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而劫奪非義充其內、

禍哉爾偽善之經士與法利賽人、因爾潔杯盤之外、內則充滿劫奪及非義、

哀哉爾經生與法利塞人、虛偽之徒也！蓋爾第潔杯盤之表、而內充貪污邪欲。

“ Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

“ How terrible for you, teachers of the law and Pharisees! You pretenders! You clean the outside of a cup and dish. But on the inside you are full of greed. You only want to satisfy yourselves.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

“ What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy— full of greed and self indulgence!

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self indulgence.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full from extortion and excess.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence!

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

“ Woe to you, experts in the law and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside they are full of greed and self- indulgence.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and unrighteousness.

Then the Lord said to him,“ Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? (niv)

For out of the heart come evil thoughts— murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.” (niv)

When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.)So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus,“ Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with defiled hands?”He replied,“ Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:“‘ These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”And he continued,“ You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!For Moses said,‘ Honor your father and mother,’ and,‘ Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban( that is, devoted to God)—then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother.Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.” (niv)

And these also stagger from wine and reel from beer: Priests and prophets stagger from beer and are befuddled with wine; they reel from beer, they stagger when seeing visions, they stumble when rendering decisions.All the tables are covered with vomit and there is not a spot without filth. (niv)
