The Lord has made proclamation to the ends of the earth:“ Say to Daughter Zion,‘ See, your Savior comes! See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.’” (niv)

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his. (niv)

Sing, Daughter Zion; shout aloud, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem!The Lord has taken away your punishment, he has turned back your enemy. The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you; never again will you fear any harm. (niv)

“‘ My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. (niv)

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: (niv)

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. Yet I will show love to Judah; and I will save them— not by bow, sword or battle, or by horses and horsemen, but I, the Lord their God, will save them.” (niv)

They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. It read: jesus of nazareth, the king of the jews.Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek.The chief priests of the Jews protested to Pilate,“ Do not write‘ The King of the Jews,’ but that this man claimed to be king of the Jews.Pilate answered,“ What I have written, I have written.” (niv)

By the humility and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you— I, Paul, who am“ timid” when face to face with you, but“ bold” toward you when away! (niv)
