『哀泣號咷、聲聞辣麻；雷格哭子、悲末以加；諸嬰盡殤、何由慰他。』

And they journeyed from Beth- el; and there was still some distance to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labor.And it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; for now thou shalt have another son.And it came to pass, as her soul was departing( for she died), that she called his name Ben- oni: but his father called him Benjamin.And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath( the same is Beth- lehem).And Jacob set up a pillar upon her grave: the same is the Pillar of Rachel’s grave unto this day.

For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that gaspeth for breath, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul fainteth before the murderers.

But man dieth, and is laid low: Yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?
