“ Haven’t you read,” he replied,“ that at the beginning the Creator‘ made them male and female,’

The man said,“ This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called‘ woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” (niv)

He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them“ Mankind” when they were created. (niv)

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (niv)

“ What is written in the Law?” he replied.“ How do you read it?” (niv)
