耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們，任何人為了上帝的國而撇下房屋、妻子、弟兄、父母或兒女，今世必得百倍的獎賞，來世必得永生。」

不但如此，我看萬事都毫無價值，因為認識我主基督耶穌最寶貴。我為祂失去了一切，我把失去的一切視為垃圾，好得到基督，

耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們，任何人為了我和福音而撇下房屋、弟兄、姊妹、父母、兒女或田地，今世必在房屋、弟兄、姊妹、父母、兒女或田地方面獲得百倍的回報，來世必得永生。當然他也會受到迫害。

「若有人要跟從我，就要愛我勝過愛他的父母、妻子、兒女、弟兄、姊妹，甚至自己的生命，否則就不能作我的門徒。

因為想救自己生命的，必失去生命；但為了我而失去生命的，必得到生命。

「愛父母過於愛我的人不配作我的門徒；愛兒女過於愛我的人不配作我的門徒；不肯背起他的十字架跟從我的人不配作我的門徒。

如果你們為基督的緣故受辱駡，就有福了！因為上帝榮耀的靈常住在你們身上。

「你們要先尋求上帝的國和祂的義，這一切都會賜給你們。

你們將為我的名而被眾人憎恨，但堅忍到底的必定得救。

如果你們屬於這個世界，世人一定會愛你們。可是你們不屬於這世界，我已經把你們揀選出來，因此世人恨你們。

你們為人子的緣故而遭人憎恨、棄絕、侮辱、毀謗，就有福了！

另一個門徒對耶穌說：「主啊，請讓我先回去安葬我的父親。」耶穌對他說：「跟從我，讓死人去埋葬他們的死人吧！」

「人們因為我的緣故侮辱、迫害、肆意毀謗你們，你們就有福了。

那時，王會對右邊的人說，『我父所賜福的人啊，來承受創世以來為你們預備的國度吧。

我會讓他知道他必為我的名而受許多的苦。」

正如聖經上說：「上帝為愛祂的人所預備的，是眼睛未曾見過，耳朵未曾聽聞，人心也未曾想到的。」

有一個人來請教耶穌：「老師，我該做什麼善事才能獲得永生呢？」

種子落在沃土裡，是指人聽了道，並明白了道，就結出果實來，有的多達一百倍，有的六十倍，有的三十倍。」

有些落在沃土裡，就結出果實，收成多達三十倍、六十倍、一百倍。

從今以後，我們不再以貌取人了，雖然我們曾這樣看待基督，現在卻不再這樣看待祂了。

這些人要受永遠的刑罰，但義人要得到永遠的生命。」
