But He said to them,“ Not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it has been given.

Jesus replied,“ Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given.

Jesus replied,“ Not everyone can accept the idea of staying single. Only those who have been helped to live without getting married can accept it.

But he said to them,“ Not everyone can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given.

“ Not everyone can accept this statement,” Jesus said.“ Only those whom God helps.

Only, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each, in this way let him walk. And so I direct in all the churches.

But because of sexual immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband.

Yet I wish that all men were even as I myself am. However, each has his own gift from God, one in this way, and another in that.But I say to the unmarried and to widows that it is good for them if they remain even as I.But if they do not have self control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

And Jesus answered them,“ To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.

I say this for your own benefit, not to put a restraint on you, but to promote what is appropriate and to secure undistracted devotion to the Lord.
