有控告长老的案件，非有两三个证人就不要受理。

任何人干犯摩西的律法，凭两个或三个证人，尚且必须处死，不得宽赦，

你们的律法也记着说：‘两个人的见证才算为真’。

“无论谁杀了人，必须凭几个证人的口，才可把那故意杀人的处死；只凭一个证人，不足以判人死。

要凭两个证人或三个证人的口，才可以把他处死，不可只凭一个证人的口处死他。

有两个无赖来，坐在拿伯对面。无赖当着百姓作证告他说：“拿伯诅咒神和王了！”众人就把他拉到城外，用石头打他，他就死了。

作见证的有三：就是圣灵、水与血，这三样也都是一致的。

“我要赐权柄给我那两个见证人，穿着粗麻衣说预言一千二百六十天。”
