爾等於意云何、人有百羊而亡其一、有不暫留其九十九於山、而追尋其所失者乎：

牧人在羊群四散的日子怎样寻找他的羊，我必照样寻找我的羊。这些羊在密云黑暗的日子散在各处，我要从那里救回它们。

他们必不再作外邦人的掠物，地上的野兽也不再吞吃他们；他们却要安然居住，无人使他们惊吓。

我的羊流落众山之间和各高冈上，分散在全地，无人去寻，无人去找。

我的百姓成了失丧的羊，牧人使他们走迷了路，转入丛山之间。他们从大山走到小山，竟忘了自己安歇之处。

失丧的，我必寻找；被逐的，我必领回；受伤的，我必包扎；有病的，我必医治；只是肥的壮的，我要除灭；我必秉公牧养它们。’

“有一件事，你们的意见如何？一个人有两个儿子。他来对大儿子说：‘孩子，今天到葡萄园里做工去。’

“我是好牧人，好牧人为羊舍命。雇工不是牧人，羊不是他自己的，他一看见狼来，就撇下羊群逃跑；狼抓住羊，把它们赶散。雇工逃走，因为他是雇工，对羊毫不关心。我是好牧人；我认识我的羊，我的羊也认识我，正如父认识我，我也认识父一样；并且我为羊舍命。我另外有羊，不属这圈里的，我必须领它们来，它们也要听我的声音，并且要合成一群，归一个牧人。为此，我父爱我，因为我把命舍去，好再取回来。没有人夺去我的命，是我自己舍的；我有权舍弃，也有权再取回。这是我从我父所受的命令。”犹太人为这些话又起了分裂。其中有好些人说：“他是被鬼附了，而且疯了，为什么听他的呢？”另有的说：“这不是被鬼附的人所说的话。鬼岂能开盲人的眼睛呢？”

耶稣对他们说：“你们中间谁有一只羊在安息日掉在坑里，不抓住它，把它拉上来呢？

你们从前好像迷路的羊，如今却归回你们灵魂的牧人和监督了。

我们都如羊走迷，各人偏行己路；耶和华使我们众人的罪孽都归在他身上。

我好像对精明人说的；你们要辨别我的话。

我走迷了路如同失丧的羊，求你寻找你的仆人，因我不忘记你的命令。

“论到基督，你们的意见如何？他是谁的后裔呢？”他们说：“是大卫的。”
