設人有百羊而亡其一、爾意若何、豈不姑舍九十九羊於山、往覓其亡乎、若遇之、

爾意如何、人有百羊、迷失其一、豈不姑舍九十九羊於山、而往求其迷失者乎、或作豈不姑舍九十九羊而往於山求其迷失者乎

爾等於意云何、人有百羊而亡其一、有不暫留其九十九於山、而追尋其所失者乎：

迷失的，我必尋找；被趕散的，我必領回；受傷的，我必包紮；患病的，我必養壯；肥壯的，我卻要除滅。我也必按著公正牧養牠們。

“你們認為怎樣？有一個人，他有兩個兒子。他去對大兒子說：‘孩子，你今天到葡萄園去工作吧。’

我是好牧人，好牧人為羊捨命。那作雇工不是牧人的，羊也不是自己的，他一見狼來，就把羊撇下逃跑，狼就抓住羊群，把他們驅散了；因為他是個雇工，對羊群漠不關心。我是好牧人，我認識我的羊，我的羊也認識我，好像父認識我，我也認識父一樣；並且我為羊捨命。我還有別的羊，不在這羊圈裡；我必須把牠們領來，牠們也要聽我的聲音，並且要合成一群，歸於一個牧人。父愛我，因為我把生命捨去，好再把它取回來。沒有人能奪去我的生命，是我自己捨去的。我有權把生命捨去，也有權把它取回來；這是我從我的父所領受的命令。”猶太人因著這些話又起了紛爭。他們當中有許多人說：“他是鬼附的，他發瘋了；為甚麼要聽他呢？”另外有人說：“這話不是鬼附的人所說的。鬼怎能使瞎子的眼睛開了呢？”

耶穌回答：“你們當中有哪一個，他僅有的一隻羊在安息日跌進坑裡，會不把羊抓住拉上來呢？

你們從前好像迷路的羊，但現在已經回到你們靈魂的牧人和監督那裡了。

我們眾人都如羊走迷了路，各人偏行己路；耶和華卻把我們眾人的罪孽，都歸在他身上。

我是對明白事理的人說的，我所說的你們要自己判斷。

我像亡羊走迷了路；求你尋找你的僕人，因為我沒有忘記你的命令。
