從那時耶穌便開始指示門徒：他必須往耶路撒冷去，從長老祭司長和經學士手下受許多苦，並且被殺，第三天就得甦活起來。

又說：『人子必須受許多苦，從長老祭司長和經學士手下被棄掉，並且被殺，第三天就得甦活起來。』

便開始教訓他們說：『人子必須受許多苦，被長老祭司長和經學士棄掉，並且被殺，三天以後就復起。』

他們必殺害他；第三天他必得甦活起來。』門徒就極其憂愁。

耶穌帶着那十二個人到一邊，對他們說：『看吧，我們上耶路撒冷，凡藉着神言人所寫的事都必完成在人子身上。他必被送交給外國人，必被戲弄，被凌辱，被吐唾沫。他們必鞭打他，殺害他；第三天他就必復起。』這些事、他們一樣也不曉悟；這話對於他們是隱藏的；所說的事、他們都不曉得。

基督受這些苦，而進入他的榮耀，豈不是應該的麼？』

那時必有許多人要絆跌，要彼此送官，彼此恨惡；

耶穌上耶路撒冷去的時候，暗暗地把那十二個人帶到一邊，在路上對他們說：『看吧，我們上耶路撒冷去，人子必被送交給祭司長和經學士；他們必定他死罪，

起來，我們走罷！看哪，把我送官的人近了！』

哪一個神言人、你們的祖宗沒有逼迫過？他們把豫先宣佈那義人之來臨的人殺了。如今你們、你們這些由天使之宣諭領受了律法、而不遵守的人，你們竟成了那義人的出賣者和兇手了！』

我實在告訴你們，在這裏站着的，一定有人在沒有嘗着死以前，就可以看見人子帶着他國的榮耀來臨。』

他們離開那裏，經過了加利利；耶穌不願意人知道；就教訓門徒，對他們說：『人子必被送交在人手裏；他們必殺害他；被殺以後三天，他就要復起。』門徒不明白這話，又怕問他。

『人子將要被送交在人手裏：你們要把這些話聽進耳中。』他們不明白這話：這話對於他們是被掩蔽着、以致他們不能審察出來；他們也怕將這話問他。

你們要想起耶穌還在加利利時怎樣對你們講過：人子必須被送交在罪人手裏，被釘十字架，第三天復起。』

又對他們說：『有這樣記着說；基督必須受害，第三天從死人中復起；

從那時、他就找機會好把耶穌送交給他們。

『看吧，我們上耶路撒冷去，人子必被送交給祭司長和經學士；他們必定他死罪，把他送交給外國人；他們必戲弄他，向他吐唾沫，鞭打他，殺害他；三天以後，他就必復起。』

我當日從主領受、又傳給你們的、是：主耶穌在被送官的那一夜拿着餅，
