从此以后，耶稣开始清楚地指示门徒，祂必须去耶路撒冷，受长老、祭司长和律法教师许多的迫害，并且被处死，但第三天必从死里复活。

又说：“人子必须受许多苦，被长老、祭司长和律法教师弃绝，杀害，但必在第三天复活。”

从此，耶稣便告诉他们，人子必须受许多苦，被长老、祭司长和律法教师弃绝，杀害，但必在三天之后复活。

耶稣把十二使徒带到一边，对他们说：“你们要留意，我们现在前往耶路撒冷，先知书上有关人子的记载都要应验，人子将被交在外族人的手里，被他们嘲弄、虐待、吐唾沫、鞭打和杀害，但第三天祂必复活。”使徒却一点也不明白，因为这番话的含意是隐藏的，他们听不明白。

基督岂不是要先这样受害，然后进入祂的荣耀吗？”

那时，许多人会放弃信仰，互相出卖，彼此憎恨。

在去耶路撒冷的途中，耶稣把十二个门徒带到一边，对他们说：“你们要留意，我们现在前往耶路撒冷，人子将被交给祭司长和律法教师。他们要判祂死刑，

哪一位先知没有被你们祖先迫害？那些预言义者——弥赛亚要来的人也被你们的祖先杀害。如今你们竟出卖了那位公义者，杀害了祂！

我实在告诉你们，有些站在这里的人会在有生之年看见人子降临在祂的国度里。”

他们离开那里，途经加利利。耶稣不想任何人知道祂的行踪，因为祂在教导门徒。祂说：“人子将被交在人的手中，被他们杀害，但三天之后，祂必复活。”门徒却不明白这句话的意思，又不敢问祂。

“你们要牢记人子所说的话，因为祂将要被交到人的手里。”但门徒不明白这句话的意思，因为还没有向他们显明，他们听不懂，又不敢追问耶稣。

祂不在这里，已经复活了！记住祂在加利利对你们说的话，‘人子必须被交在罪人的手中，被钉在十字架上，在第三天复活。’”

又对他们说：“圣经上说，基督必受害，然后在第三天从死里复活，

从那时起，犹大就寻找机会出卖耶稣。

“听着，我们现在前往耶路撒冷，人子将被交在祭司长和律法教师的手中，他们要判祂死刑，把祂交给外族人。他们会嘲弄祂，向祂吐唾沫，鞭打祂，杀害祂。但是，三天之后祂必复活！”
