for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.Do everything without grumbling or arguing,so that you may become blameless and pure,“ children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky (niv)

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, (niv)

He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. (niv)

“ If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. (niv)

Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways, and those with clean hands will grow stronger. (niv)
