Jesus told them another parable:“ The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.

Jesus told the crowd another story.“ Here is what the kingdom of heaven is like,” he said.“ A man planted good seed in his field.

He put another parable before them, saying,“ The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field,

“ The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.“ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. (niv)

He told them still another parable:“ The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.” (niv)

“ Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. (niv)

When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. (niv)

“ Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. (niv)

He told them another parable:“ The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. (niv)

and saying,“ Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” (niv)

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. (niv)

He answered,“ The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. (niv)

He also said,“ This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground.Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.All by itself the soil produces grain— first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”Again he said,“ What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? (niv)

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. (niv)

Then Jesus asked,“ What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? (niv)

the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel (niv)

“ Let me tell you a riddle,” Samson said to them.“ If you can give me the answer within the seven days of the feast, I will give you thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes.If you can’t tell me the answer, you must give me thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes.”“ Tell us your riddle,” they said.“ Let’s hear it.” (niv)

So then, the word of the Lord to them will become: Do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that; a little here, a little there— so that as they go they will fall backward; they will be injured and snared and captured. (niv)

“ Son of man, set forth an allegory and tell it to the Israelites as a parable. (niv)

For it is: Do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that; a little here, a little there.” (niv)
