耶稣和门徒退到海边去，有许多人从加利利跟随他。还有许多人听见他所做的事，就从犹太、耶路撒冷、以土买、约旦河的东边，以及推罗和西顿的附近地方来到他那里。

我们行善不可丧志，因为若不灰心，到了适当的时候就有收成。

你们蒙召就是为此，因为基督也为你们受过苦，给你们留下榜样，为要使你们跟随他的脚踪。

耶稣和他们下了山，站在一块平地上；在一起的有许多门徒，又有许多百姓从全犹太和耶路撒冷，并推罗、西顿的海边来，都要听他讲道，又希望耶稣医治他们的病；还有被污灵缠磨的，也得了医治。众人都想要摸他，因为有能力从他身上发出来，治好了他们。

在那些日子，耶稣出去，上山祈祷，整夜向神祷告。

趁着白日，我们必须做差我来的那位的工；黑夜来到，就没有人能做工了。

耶稣所到的地方，或村中、或城里、或乡间，他们都把病人放在街市上，求耶稣让他们摸一摸他的衣裳䍁子，摸着的人就都好了。

耶稣走遍加利利，在各会堂里教导人，宣讲天国的福音，医治百姓各样的疾病。他的名声传遍了叙利亚。那里的人把一切病人，就是有各样疾病和疼痛的、被鬼附的、癫痫的、瘫痪的，都带了来，耶稣就治好了他们。当时，有一大群人从加利利、低加坡里、耶路撒冷、犹太、约旦河的东边，来跟从他。
