and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus, they asked him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

A man with a weak and twisted hand was there. The Pharisees were trying to accuse Jesus of a crime. So they asked him,“ Does the Law allow us to heal on the Sabbath day?”

And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”— so that they might accuse him.

where he noticed a man with a deformed hand. The Pharisees asked Jesus,“ Does the law permit a person to work by healing on the Sabbath?”( They were hoping he would say yes, so they could bring charges against him.)

There he saw a man who had a shriveled hand, and in order to accuse him they asked him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questioned Jesus, asking,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”— so that they might bring charges against Him.

Some therefore of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he keepeth not the sabbath. But others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such signs? And there was a division among them.

Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Cæsar, or not?But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why make ye trial of me, ye hypocrites?

So the Jews said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath, and it is not lawful for thee to take up thy bed.

And this they said, trying him, that they might have whereof to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.

laying wait for him, to catch something out of his mouth.

Woe to the worthless shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.

And it came to pass, when the king heard the saying of the man of God, which he cried against the altar in Beth- el, that Jeroboam put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not draw it back again to him.The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of Jehovah.And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Entreat now the favor of Jehovah thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God entreated Jehovah, and the king’s hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

But the Pharisees, when they saw it, said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which it is not lawful to do upon the sabbath.

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this man perverting our nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cæsar, and saying that he himself is Christ a king.

None sueth in righteousness, and none pleadeth in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

And it came to pass on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man there, and his right hand was withered.And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find how to accuse him.

In these lay a multitude of them that were sick, blind, halt, withered.

transgressing and denying Jehovah, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Cæsar, or not?

and said unto them, Ye brought unto me this man, as one that perverteth the people: and behold, I, having examined him before you, found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:

And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not?But they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go.And he said unto them, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a well, and will not straightway draw him up on a sabbath day?And they could not answer again unto these things.

For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise profaneness, and to utter error against Jehovah, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

And there came unto him Pharisees, trying him, and saying, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
