“ Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him.

From then on Jesus began to preach,“ Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

But Jesus told him,“ Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead! Your duty is to go and preach about the Kingdom of God.”

Heal the sick, and tell them,‘ The Kingdom of God is near you now.’But if a town refuses to welcome you, go out into its streets and say,‘ We wipe even the dust of your town from our feet to show that we have abandoned you to your fate. And know this— the Kingdom of God is near!’

Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

“ Until John the Baptist, the law of Moses and the messages of the prophets were your guides. But now the Good News of the Kingdom of God is preached, and everyone is eager to get in.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.

So they began their circuit of the villages, preaching the Good News and healing the sick.

These leaders were very disturbed that Peter and John were teaching the people that through Jesus there is a resurrection of the dead.

After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus.“ Rabbi,” he said,“ we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.”

As Peter entered his home, Cornelius fell at his feet and worshiped him.

So the disciples went out, telling everyone they met to repent of their sins and turn to God.

“ I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is!And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.

I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce the proper fruit.

“ What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces. You won’t go in yourselves, and you don’t let others enter either.

When Jesus had finished giving these instructions to his twelve disciples, he went out to teach and preach in towns throughout the region.

“ Which of the two obeyed his father?” They replied,“ The first.” Then Jesus explained his meaning:“ I tell you the truth, corrupt tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom of God before you do.
