I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty.

耶和華說：‘我用旱風、霉爛和冰雹擊打你們，和你們手裡的一切工作，你們還是不歸向我。

主耶和華向我這樣顯示：看哪！替王收割之後，田產又開始生長時，主造出一群蝗蟲。蝗蟲吃盡地上的農產時，我說：“主耶和華啊！求你寬恕，因雅各太弱小，怎能站立得住呢？”耶和華對這事改變心意，耶和華說：“這事不會發生。”

他（按照《馬索拉文本》，“他”作“我”﹔現參照其他抄本及古譯本翻譯﹔15節同）必按時降雨在你們的地上，就是降秋雨和春雨，使你們可以豐收五穀、新酒和新油。

“我曾多次用熱風和霉爛擊打你們的園子和葡萄園，叫蝗蟲吃光你們的無花果樹和橄欖樹；但你們仍不歸向我。”這是耶和華的宣告。

田野的走獸啊，你們不要懼怕，因為曠野的草場又發青了，樹木又結果子了，無花果樹和葡萄樹也都效力了。

葡萄樹枯乾，無花果樹衰殘；石榴樹、棕樹、蘋果樹，田野所有的樹木都枯乾，因此歡樂從人間消失了。

剪蟲剩下的，蝗蟲吃了；蝗蟲剩下的，蝻子吃了；蝻子剩下的，螞蚱吃了。

我要使北方來的軍隊遠離你們；我要把他們驅逐到乾旱荒涼之地，他們的前隊趕入東海，他們的後隊趕入西海；並且他們的臭氣上升，他們的腥味上騰，因為耶和華行了大事。

無花果樹縱不發芽，葡萄樹不結果，橄欖樹無所出，田裡無收成，圈內的羊被剪除，棚裡也沒有牛，

因為五穀必生長繁茂，葡萄樹必結果子，地土必出土產，天也必降下甘露，我要使這些餘剩的子民承受這一切。

我要徹底除掉他們的莊稼；葡萄樹上必沒有葡萄，無花果樹上必沒有無花果，葉子也必枯乾。我賜給他們的，都離開他們過去了。’”這是耶和華的宣告。

他們使我的葡萄樹荒涼，折斷了我的無花果樹，把樹皮剝盡，丟在一旁，使枝條露白。
