眾人都詫異神的大能。眾人正驚訝於耶穌所做的一切事的時候，耶穌對門徒說：「你們要把這些話聽進去，因為人子將要被交在人手裏。」門徒卻不明白這話，其中的意思對他們隱藏着，使他們不能明白，他們也不敢問這話的意思。

他們離開那地方，經過加利利；耶穌不願意人知道，因為他正教導門徒說：「人子將要被交在人手裏，他們要殺害他；被殺以後，三天後他要復活。」門徒卻不明白這話，又不敢問他。

認得他是那素常坐在聖殿的美門口求人施捨的，就因他所遇到的事滿心驚訝詫異。那人正在稱為所羅門的廊下，拉住彼得和約翰，大家都覺得很驚訝，一齊跑到他們那裏。彼得看見，就對百姓說：「以色列人哪，為甚麼因這事而驚訝呢？為甚麼定睛看我們，以為我們憑自己的能力和虔誠使這人行走呢？亞伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神，就是我們列祖的神，已經榮耀了他的僕人耶穌，這耶穌就是你們交付官府的那位，彼拉多決定要釋放他時，你們卻在彼拉多面前棄絕了他。

他和一切跟他一起的人對打到了這一網的魚都很驚訝。

我們從前把我們主耶穌基督的大能和他來臨的事告訴你們，並不是隨從一些捏造出來的無稽傳說，我們是曾經親眼見過他的威榮的人。

眾人都驚訝，彼此對問：「這是甚麼道理呢？因為他用權柄能力命令污靈，污靈就出來。」

耶穌對他們說：「你們的信心在哪裏呢？」他們又懼怕又驚訝，彼此說：「這到底是誰？他吩咐風和水，連風和水都聽從他。」

於是他到他們那裏，一上船，風就停了；他們心裏十分驚奇。

他們聚集在加利利的時候，耶穌對門徒說：「人子將要被交在人手裏。

萬軍之耶和華如此說：在那些日子，即使這事在這餘民眼中看為奇妙，難道在我眼中也看為奇妙嗎？這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

眾人都驚奇，也歸榮耀給神，並且滿心懼怕，說：「我們今日看見不尋常的事了！」

我要稱謝你，因我受造奇妙可畏，你的作為奇妙，這是我心深知道的。
