But if the ministration of death, written, and engraven on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look stedfastly upon the face of Moses for the glory of his face; which glory was passing away:how shall not rather the ministration of the spirit be with glory?For if the ministration of condemnation hath glory, much rather doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.For verily that which hath been made glorious hath not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasseth.For if that which passeth away was with glory, much more that which remaineth is in glory.

And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.

And they answering said, John the Baptist; but others say, Elijah; and others, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

And he shall go before his face in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to walk in the wisdom of the just; to make ready for the Lord a people prepared for him.

And behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with him.And Peter answered, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, I will make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Elijah was a man of like passions with us, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain; and it rained not on the earth for three years and six months.And he prayed again; and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
