The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

As he was entering into the boat, he who had been possessed by demons begged him that he might be with him.He didn’t allow him, but said to him,“ Go to your house, to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how he had mercy on you.”He went his way, and began to proclaim in Decapolis how Jesus had done great things for him, and everyone marveled.

All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. Then he entered into the boat and returned.

Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds for the children of men!Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.

Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised! His greatness is unsearchable.One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts.I will meditate on the glorious majesty of your honor, on your wondrous works.Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness.They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness.Yahweh is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness.Yahweh is good to all. His tender mercies are over all his works.All your works will give thanks to you, Yahweh. Your saints will extol you.They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk about your power,to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.

You shall fear Yahweh your God. You shall serve him. You shall cling to him, and you shall swear by his name.He is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen.

but they only heard:“ He who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once tried to destroy.”So they glorified God in me.

Yahweh, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your servant girl. You have freed me from my chains.

You shall tell your son in that day, saying,‘ It is because of that which Yahweh did for me when I came out of Egypt.’It shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that Yahweh’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand Yahweh has brought you out of Egypt.

although I used to be a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life.

Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his deeds with singing.

Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of Yahweh, his strength, and his wondrous deeds that he has done.For he established a covenant in Jacob, and appointed a teaching in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children;that the generation to come might know, even the children who should be born; who should arise and tell their children,

But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.

It shall happen when you have come to the land which Yahweh will give you, as he has promised, that you shall keep this service.It will happen, when your children ask you,‘ What do you mean by this service?’that you shall say,‘ It is the sacrifice of Yahweh’s Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians, and spared our houses.’” The people bowed their heads and worshiped.

It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall tell him,‘ By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, Yahweh killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of livestock. Therefore I sacrifice to Yahweh all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’It shall be for a sign on your hand, and for symbols between your eyes; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought us out of Egypt.”

God, you have taught me from my youth. Until now, I have declared your wondrous works.Yes, even when I am old and gray- haired, God, don’t forsake me, until I have declared your strength to the next generation, your might to everyone who is to come.

I will tell of the loving kindnesses of Yahweh and the praises of Yahweh, according to all that Yahweh has given to us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has given to them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.For he said,“ Surely, they are my people, children who will not deal falsely;” so he became their Savior.In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. Therefore he turned and became their enemy, and he himself fought against them.Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying,“ Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his Holy Spirit among them?”Who caused his glorious arm to be at Moses’ right hand? Who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name?Who led them through the depths, like a horse in the wilderness, so that they didn’t stumble?

What will I give to Yahweh for all his benefits toward me?

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he did to your saints at Jerusalem.Here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.”But the Lord said to him,“ Go your way, for he is my chosen vessel to bear my name before the nations and kings, and the children of Israel.For I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name’s sake.”

Yahweh’s works are great, pondered by all those who delight in them.His work is honor and majesty. His righteousness endures forever.He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Yahweh is gracious and merciful.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said,“ What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”

One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.
