主啊，求你睡醒，為何儘睡呢？求你醒來，不要永遠丟棄我們！

過了不久，有一股叫「友拉革羅」的東北巨風從島上撲來，船被風抓住，無法頂風航行，我們只好任它漂流。我們貼着一個叫高大的小島的背風岸急航，好不容易才保住了救生艇。既然把救生艇拉上來，他們就用纜索捆綁船底，又恐怕在賽耳底淺灘上擱淺，就落了篷，任船漂流。我們被風浪逼得很急，第二天眾人就把貨物拋在海裏。第三天，他們又親手把船上的器具拋棄了。許多天都沒有看到太陽和星辰，又有狂風大浪催逼，我們獲救的指望都放棄了。

耶和華啊，大水揚起，大水發聲，大水澎湃。耶和華在高處大有威力，勝過諸水的響聲，洋海的大浪。

有一天，耶穌和門徒上了船，他對門徒說：「我們渡到湖的對岸去吧。」他們就開了船。

若不是耶和華幫助我們，當人起來攻擊我們，那時，人向我們發怒，就把我們活活吞了；那時，波濤必漫過我們，河水必淹沒我們；

你這受困苦、被暴風捲走、不得憐憫的城，看哪，我必以灰泥來做你的石頭，以藍寶石立你的根基，

耶和華的膀臂啊，興起，興起！以能力為衣穿上，像古時的年日，像上古的世代一樣興起！從前砍碎拉哈伯、刺透大魚的，不是你嗎？使海與深淵的水乾涸，在海的深處開路，使救贖的民走過的，不是你嗎？

那些搭船出海，在大水中做生意的，他們看見耶和華的作為，並他在深海中的奇事。他一出令，狂風捲起，波浪翻騰。他們上到天空，下到海底，他們的心因患難而消沉。他們搖搖晃晃，東倒西歪，好像醉酒的人，他們的智慧無法可施。於是他們在急難中哀求耶和華，他就領他們脫離禍患。他使狂風止息，波浪平靜，既平靜了，他們就歡喜，他就領他們到想要去的海港。

火和冰雹，雪和霧氣，成就他命令的狂風，

因為我們的大祭司並非不能體恤我們的軟弱；他也在各方面受過試探，與我們一樣，只是他沒有犯罪。
