Jesus answered,“ Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast while he is with them?

耶稣说：“新郎跟宾客在一起的时候，你们怎么可以叫宾客禁食呢？

耶稣对他们说：“新郎与宾客在一起的时候，难道你们能叫宾客禁食吗？

耶穌對他們說：「新郎和陪伴之人同在的時候，豈能叫陪伴之人禁食呢？

耶穌對他們說：「新郎和賓客在一起的時候，你們怎麼能叫賓客禁食呢？

耶穌對他們說：「新郎和賓客在一起的時候，你們怎麼能叫賓客禁食呢？

耶穌說：「新郎還跟賓客在一起的時候，豈能讓賓客禁食？

耶穌說：“新郎跟賓客在一起的時候，你們怎麼可以叫賓客禁食呢？

耶穌對他們說：『新郎跟賀喜的朋友在一起的時候，你們哪能叫他們禁食呢？

耶穌對他們說：「新郎與賓客在一起的時候，難道你們能叫賓客禁食嗎？

耶穌曰、新娶者在、安能使賀娶者禁食乎、

耶穌曰、新娶者在、安能使賀娶之人禁食乎、

耶穌曰、新娶者尚在、安能使賀娶之客禁食乎、

耶穌曰：『新壻尚在、安能令新壻之友守齋乎？

Jesus answered,“ Can you make the friends of the groom fast while he is with them?

And Jesus said to them,“ Can you make wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them?

Jesus responded,“ Do wedding guests fast while celebrating with the groom? Of course not.

Jesus said to them,“ You can’t make the wedding guests fast while the groom is with them, can you?

And Jesus said to them,“ You cannot make the attendants of the groom fast while the groom is with them, can you?

And He said to them,“ Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them?

And Jesus said unto them, Can ye make the sons of the bride- chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

Jesus said to them,“ You can’t make the wedding guests fast while the groom is with them, can you?

And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

So Jesus said to them,“ You cannot make the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them, can you?

He said to them,“ Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them?

The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.

For your Maker is your husband— the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.

His left arm is under my head, and his right arm embraces me.Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.

As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Listen, daughter, and pay careful attention: Forget your people and your father’s house.Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.The city of Tyre will come with a gift, people of wealth will seek your favor.All glorious is the princess within her chamber; her gown is interwoven with gold.In embroidered garments she is led to the king; her virgin companions follow her— those brought to be with her.Led in with joy and gladness, they enter the palace of the king.Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for herto make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

“ The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.

“ At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.Five of them were foolish and five were wise.The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.“ At midnight the cry rang out:‘ Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’“ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.The foolish ones said to the wise,‘ Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’“‘ No,’ they replied,‘ there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’“ But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

Now his father went down to see the woman. And there Samson held a feast, as was customary for young men.When the people saw him, they chose thirty men to be his companions.
