法利賽人與其士子咎門徒曰、爾曹胡為與稅吏罪人飲食乎、

士子、𠵽唎㘔人、譏門徒曰、何為與稅吏罪人飲食乎、

經士及法利賽人、譏耶穌門徒曰、爾曹何與稅吏及罪人共食乎、

法利塞人與經生見而不悅、謂耶穌門徒曰：『爾等胡為與稅吏罪人共席？』

But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples,“ Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

于是大大地喧嚷起来。有几个法利赛党的文士站起来争辩说：“我们看不出这人有什么恶处，倘若有鬼魂或是天使对他说过话，怎么样呢？”

请耶稣的法利赛人看见这事，心里说：“这人若是先知，必知道摸他的是谁，是个怎样的女人；乃是个罪人。”

原来法利赛人和犹太人都拘守古人的遗传，若不仔细洗手就不吃饭；

且对人说：‘你站开吧！不要挨近我，因为我比你圣洁。’主说：‘这些人是我鼻中的烟，是整天烧着的火。’

文士和法利赛人就议论说：“这说僭妄话的是谁？除了神以外，谁能赦罪呢？”

众人看见，都私下议论说：“他竟到罪人家里去住宿。”

法利赛人站着，自言自语地祷告说：‘神啊，我感谢你，我不像别人勒索、不义、奸淫，也不像这个税吏。

有一天，耶稣教训人，有法利赛人和教法师在旁边坐着；他们是从加利利各乡村和犹太并耶路撒冷来的。主的能力与耶稣同在，使他能医治病人。

又说：“一个人有两个儿子。他来对大儿子说：‘我儿，你今天到葡萄园里去做工。’他回答说：‘我不去’，以后自己懊悔，就去了。又来对小儿子也是这样说。他回答说：‘父啊，我去’，他却不去。你们想，这两个儿子是哪一个遵行父命呢？”他们说：“大儿子。”耶稣说：“我实在告诉你们，税吏和娼妓倒比你们先进神的国。因为约翰遵着义路到你们这里来，你们却不信他；税吏和娼妓倒信他。你们看见了，后来还是不懊悔去信他。”

众税吏和罪人都挨近耶稣，要听他讲道。法利赛人和文士私下议论说：“这个人接待罪人，又同他们吃饭。”

众百姓和税吏既受过约翰的洗，听见这话，就以神为义；但法利赛人和律法师没有受过约翰的洗，竟为自己废弃了神的旨意。。

人子来，也吃也喝，你们说他是贪食好酒的人，是税吏和罪人的朋友。
