現在我把從神那裡聽見的真理告訴了你們，你們竟然想殺我，這不是亞伯拉罕所作的。

喊叫著說：“以色列人哪，快來幫忙！這個人到處教導眾人反對人民，反對律法和這個地方，他甚至把希臘人也帶進殿裡，污穢了這聖地。”原來他們看見過以弗所人特羅非摩同保羅在城裡，就以為保羅帶他進了殿。於是全城震動，民眾一齊跑來，捉住保羅，拉出殿外，殿門就立刻關起來了。他們正想殺他的時候，有人報告營部的千夫長，說：“整個耶路撒冷都亂了！”千夫長立刻帶著一些百夫長和士兵跑到他們那裡。眾人一看見千夫長和士兵，就停止毆打保羅。

如果我沒有在他們中間作過別人沒有作過的事，他們就沒有罪；但現在我和我的父，他們都看見了，也都恨惡。這就應驗了他們律法上所寫的話：‘他們無故地恨我。’

耶和華對摩西說：“那人必須處死，全體會眾要在營外用石頭把他打死。”

我知道你們是亞伯拉罕的後裔；但你們想殺我，因為你們心裡不能容納我的道。

惡人已經拔出刀來，拉開了弓，要打倒困苦和貧窮的人，殺害行為正直的人。

所以耶穌也是這樣在城門外受苦，為的是要藉著自己的血使人民成聖。

眾人大聲喊叫，掩著耳朵，一齊向他衝過去，把他推出城外，用石頭打他。那些證人把自己的衣服，放在一個名叫掃羅的青年人腳前。

打了很多棍，就把他們放在監牢裡，吩咐獄吏嚴密看守。獄吏領了命令，就把他們押入內監，兩腳拴了木狗。

猶大人又生擒了一萬人，帶到一處崖頂，從崖頂把他們拋下去，使他們都摔得肢離破碎。
