我—但以理一人看见这异象，跟我一起的人没有看见，却有极大的战兢落在他们身上，他们就逃跑躲避，只剩下我一人。我看见这大异象就浑身无力，面容变色，毫无气力。我听见他说话的声音；一听见他说话的声音，我就沉睡，脸伏于地。看哪，有一只手摸我，使我膝盖和手掌战抖。他对我说：“蒙爱的但以理啊，要思想我对你所说的话，只管站起来，因为我现在奉差遣来到你这里。”他对我说这话，我就战战兢兢地站起来。他说：“但以理啊，不要惧怕！因为自从第一日你立志要明白，又在你神面前刻苦自己，你的话已蒙应允；我就是因你的话而来。

他就来到我所站的地方。他一来，我就惊慌，脸伏于地。他对我说：“人子啊，你要明白，因为这是关乎末后时期的异象。”他对我说话的时候，我在沉睡，脸伏于地。他就摸我，扶我站起来。

马利亚因这话就很惊慌，又反覆思考这样问候是什么意思。

有一天，约在下午三点钟，他在异象中清楚看见神的一个使者进来，到他那里，对他说：“哥尼流。”哥尼流定睛看他，惊惶地说：“主啊，什么事？”天使对他说：“你的祷告和你的周济已达到神面前，蒙记念了。

在这事上，一方面，收取十分之一的都是必死的人；另一方面，收取十分之一的却是那位被证实是活着的。
