於是他們又嚷着說：『不要這個人！要巴拉巴！』這巴拉巴是個強盜。

你們棄絕了那聖潔而正義的，反而求把一個做兇手的人給予你們。

彼拉多有意思讓羣眾滿意，就將巴拉巴釋放給他們，把耶穌交出來，鞭撻了，去釘十字架。

開始控告他說：『我們查出這個人扭轉我們民族的心，攔阻人納貢銀給該撒，並說自己是上帝所膏立者，是王。』

看哪，現在你們所揀選所求要的王在這裏呢；看哪，永恆主已經立了一個王來管理你們。

於是彼拉多將巴拉巴釋放給他們；卻把耶穌鞭撻了，交出來去釘十字架。
