When they observed the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed and recognized that they had been with Jesus.

Now Peter and John were going up together to the temple complex at the hour of prayer at three in the afternoon.

When the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had welcomed God’s message, they sent Peter and John to them.

Both were righteous in God’s sight, living without blame according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord.

So He sent two of His disciples and told them,“ Go into the city, and a man carrying a water jug will meet you. Follow him.Wherever he enters, tell the owner of the house,‘ The Teacher says,“ Where is the guest room for Me to eat the Passover with My disciples?”’He will show you a large room upstairs, furnished and ready. Make the preparations for us there.”So the disciples went out, entered the city, and found it just as He had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

While he was holding on to Peter and John, all the people, greatly amazed, ran toward them in what is called Solomon’s Colonnade.

When the time came to completion, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.

Jesus answered him,“ Allow it for now, because this is the way for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him to be baptized.

But Peter and John answered them,“ Whether it’s right in the sight of God for us to listen to you rather than to God, you decide;
