Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

对祂说：“如果你是基督，就告诉我们。”耶稣说：“即使我告诉你们，你们也不会相信。

“你若是基督，就告诉我们吧。”耶稣说：“就算我告诉你们，你们也决不相信。

说：“你如果是基督，就告诉我们吧。”耶稣对他们说：“就算我告诉你们，你们也绝不会相信；

說：「你若是基督，就告訴我們。」耶穌說：「我若告訴你們，你們也不信；

說：「如果你是基督，就告訴我們。」耶穌對他們說：「我若告訴你們，你們也不信；

說：「如果你是基督，就告訴我們。」耶穌對他們說：「我若告訴你們，你們也不信；

對祂說：「如果你是基督，就告訴我們。」耶穌說：「即使我告訴你們，你們也不會相信。

“你若是基督，就告訴我們吧。”耶穌說：“就算我告訴你們，你們也決不相信。

『你、若是上帝所膏立者基督，請告訴我們。』耶穌對他們說：『我若告訴你們，你們也決不信；

說：「你如果是基督，就告訴我們吧。」耶穌對他們說：「就算我告訴你們，你們也絕不會相信；

曰、爾若基督、其告我、曰、我若告爾、爾必不信、

曰、爾誠基督、明以告我、曰我告爾、爾不信、

問曰、爾誠基督否、可明告我、耶穌曰、我若告爾、爾不信、

『爾苟為基督、請明以見告。』耶穌曰：『予告爾、爾不信也。

“ If you are the Messiah,” they said,“ tell us.” Jesus answered,“ If I tell you, you will not believe me,

“ If you are the Messiah,” they said,“ tell us.” Jesus answered,“ If I tell you, you will not believe me.

“ If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them,“ If I tell you, you will not believe,

and they said,“ Tell us, are you the Messiah?” But he replied,“ If I tell you, you won’t believe me.

They said,“ If you are the Messiah, tell us.” But he said to them,“ If I do tell you, you will not believe.

“ If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He said to them,“ If I tell you, you will not believe;

“ If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He said to them,“ If I tell you, you will by no means believe.

If thou art the Christ, tell us. But he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

They said,“ If You are the Messiah, tell us.” But He said to them,“ If I do tell you, you will not believe.

and said,“ If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them,“ If I tell you, you will not believe,

“ If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them,“ If I tell you, you won’t believe,

Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear[ it] again? will ye also be his disciples?Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples.

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.I receive not honour from men.But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that[ cometh] from God only?Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is[ one] that accuseth you,[ even] Moses, in whom ye trust.For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Why do ye not understand my speech?[ even] because ye cannot hear my word.Ye are of[ your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.And because I tell[ you] the truth, ye believe me not.

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote[ him] with the palms of their hands,Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with[ their] eyes, nor understand with[ their] heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess[ him], lest they should be put out of the synagogue:For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:

And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
