But Peter denied it:“ Woman, I don’t know him!”

He denied Jesus, saying,“ Woman, I don’t know him.”

For it is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob— the God of all our ancestors— who has brought glory to his servant Jesus by doing this. This is the same Jesus whom you handed over and rejected before Pilate, despite Pilate’s decision to release him.You rejected this holy, righteous one and instead demanded the release of a murderer.

So I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen.This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with him, we will also live with him.If we endure hardship, we will reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us.

Again Peter denied it. And immediately a rooster crowed.

But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

Meanwhile, as Simon Peter was standing by the fire warming himself, they asked him again,“ You’re not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it, saying,“ No, I am not.”

But anyone who denies me here on earth will be denied before God’s angels.

Peter said,“ Lord, I am ready to go to prison with you, and even to die with you.”But Jesus said,“ Peter, let me tell you something. Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”

But Peter denied it in front of everyone.“ I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said.

Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.
