On reaching the place, he said to them,“ Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”

When they reached the place, Jesus spoke.“ Pray that you won’t fall into sin when you are tempted,” he said to them.

There he told them,“ Pray that you will not give in to temptation.”

“ Why are you sleeping?” He asked them.“ Get up and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation.”

Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel.

Remain here and stay awake with Me.”Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed,“ My Father! If it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.”Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping. He asked Peter,“ So, couldn’t you stay awake with Me one hour?Stay awake and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”Again, a second time, He went away and prayed,“ My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, Your will be done.”And He came again and found them sleeping, because they could not keep their eyes open.After leaving them, He went away again and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.Then He came to the disciples and said to them,“ Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the time is near. The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.Get up; let’s go! See, My betrayer is near.”

All things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me. Nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”Then He came and found them sleeping.“ Simon, are you sleeping?” He asked Peter.“ Couldn’t you stay awake one hour?Stay awake and pray so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”Once again He went away and prayed, saying the same thing.And He came again and found them sleeping, because they could not keep their eyes open. They did not know what to say to Him.Then He came a third time and said to them,“ Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough! The time has come. Look, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.Get up; let’s go! See— My betrayer is near.”

especially because of the extraordinary revelations. Therefore, so that I would not exalt myself, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to torment me so I would not exalt myself.Concerning this, I pleaded with the Lord three times to take it away from me.But He said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, catastrophes, persecutions, and in pressures, because of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone in debt to us. And do not bring us into temptation.”

Moreover, keep Your servant from willful sins; do not let them rule over me. Then I will be innocent and cleansed from blatant rebellion.

Because you have kept My command to endure, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is going to come over the whole world to test those who live on the earth.

My steps are on Your paths; my feet have not slipped.

Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.Resist him and be firm in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being experienced by your fellow believers throughout the world.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel:“ If only You would bless me, extend my border, let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not cause any pain.” And God granted his request.

Make my steps steady through Your promise; don’t let any sin dominate me.

Keep falsehood and deceitful words far from me. Give me neither poverty nor wealth; feed me with the food I need.Otherwise, I might have too much and deny You, saying,“ Who is the Lord?” or I might have nothing and steal, profaning the name of my God.

Sustain me as You promised, and I will live; do not let me be ashamed of my hope.Sustain me so that I can be safe and always be concerned about Your statutes.
