But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves.

But you must not be like that. Instead, the most important among you should be like the youngest. The one who rules should be like the one who serves.

But not so with you. Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves.

But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant.

It is not to be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever is greatest among you should become like the youngest, and whoever leads, like the one serving.

But it is not this way for you; rather, the one who is the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like the servant.

但你們不要接受拉比的稱呼，因為只有一位是你們的老師；你們都是弟兄。也不要稱呼地上的人為父，因為只有一位是你們的父，就是在天上的父。不要接受師傅的稱呼，因為只有一位是你們的師傅，就是基督。你們中間誰為大，誰就要作你們的用人。凡自高的，必降為卑；自甘卑微的，必升為高。

說：「我實在告訴你們，你們若不回轉，變成像小孩子一樣，絕不能進天國。所以，凡自己謙卑像這小孩子的，他在天國裏就是最大的。凡為我的名接納一個像這小孩子的，就是接納我。」
