有主的一位使者对腓利说：“起来，向南走，往那从耶路撒冷下迦萨的路上去。”那条路在旷野里。他就动身去了。有一个衣索匹亚人，是衣索匹亚女王干大基有权力的太监，掌管女王全部国库。他上耶路撒冷去礼拜。他回去的时候，坐在车上读以赛亚先知的书。圣灵对腓利说：“你往前去，靠近那车子！”

他说：“你们到城里去见某人，对他说，老师说：‘我的时候快到了；我要到你那里和我的门徒守逾越节。’”门徒照耶稣的指示去作，预备好了逾越节的晚餐。

今天你离开我以后，在便雅悯境内的泄撒，靠近拉结坟墓的旁边，必遇见两个人。他们会对你说：‘你去寻找的那几头母驴已经找到了。现在你父亲放下了母驴的事，反而为你担忧，说：我为我的儿子要怎么办呢？’你要从那里再往前去，直到他泊的橡树那里，必遇见三个上伯特利去敬拜神的人，一个带着三只山羊羔，一个带着三个饼，一个带着一皮袋酒。他们必向你问安，并且给你两个饼，你要从他们手中接过来。然后，你要到神的山去，那里有非利士人的驻军。你进城的时候，会遇见一班先知从邱坛上下来。在他们前面有鼓瑟的、打鼓的、吹笛的、弹琴的。他们都受感说话。耶和华的灵必大大感动你，你就要与他们一同受感说话，变成另一个人。这些征兆临到你的时候，你就可以见机行事，因为神与你同在。

将到伯法其和伯大尼，就在橄榄山那里，他差派两个门徒，说：“你们往对面的村子里去，走进去的时候，就会看见一头从来没有人骑过的小驴，拴在那里，把它解开牵来。如果有人问为什么解开它，你们要这样说：‘主需要它。’”被差的人去了，发现和主所说的一样。他们解开小驴的时候，主人问他们：“你们为什么解开它？”他们说：“主需要它。”他们把小驴牵到耶稣那里，把自己的衣服搭在上面，扶着耶稣上去。耶稣前行的时候，众人把自己的衣服铺在路上。他走近耶路撒冷，快要下橄榄山的时候，全体门徒因为所看见的一切神迹，就欢乐起来，大声赞美神，说：“奉主名来的王，是应当称颂的！在天上有和平，在至高之处有荣耀！”群众中有几个法利赛人对他说：“先生，责备你的门徒吧！”耶稣说：“我告诉你们，他们若不出声，石头都要呼叫了。”
