“耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷！这城杀害先知们，又用石头砸死被差到她这里的人！我多次想聚集你的儿女，像母鸡把自己的小鸡聚集在翅膀下，可是你们不愿意！

因此，我的弟兄们，你们藉着基督的身体，在律法上也被处死了，使你们归向另一位，就是从死人中复活的那一位，好让我们能为神结出果子来。

“你们有祸了！因为你们建造先知的坟墓，而你们的祖先是杀害他们的。因此对你们祖先的行为，你们是见证人，你们也赞同，因为他们杀害了先知们，你们就建造先知的坟墓。为此，神的智慧也曾说：‘我将要差派先知和使徒到他们那里去。有些他们要杀害，有些他们要逼迫。’这是为要向这世代追讨那从创世以来所流的众先知的血，

他像一棵树，栽种在溪水旁，他的果实按时结出，他的叶子也不凋零，凡他所做的都会兴盛。

不是你们拣选了我，而是我拣选了你们，并指派了你们，好使你们去，让你们结出果子，而且使你们的果子长存。这样，你们奉我的名无论向父求什么，他就会赐给你们。
