耶稣说：“为什么找我呢？岂不知我应当以我父的事为念吗？”

耶稣对他们说：“为什么找我呢？难道你们不知道我应当在我父的家里吗？”

耶稣对他们说：“为什么找我呢？难道你们不知道我应当在我父的家里吗？”

耶稣对他们说：“你们为什么找我呢？难道你们不知道我应该在我父的家吗？”

他说：“为什么找我呢？你们不知道我必须在我父的家里吗？（“在我父的家里吗？”或译：“以我父的事为念吗？”）”

耶稣对他们说：“你们为什么找我呢？难道不知道我必须在我父的家里吗？”

耶穌說：「為甚麼找我呢？豈不知我應當以我父的事為念嗎？」

耶穌對他們說：「為甚麼找我呢？難道你們不知道我應當在我父的家裏嗎？」

耶穌對他們說：「為甚麼找我呢？難道你們不知道我應當在我父的家裏嗎？」

耶穌對他們說：「你們為什麼找我呢？難道你們不知道我應該在我父的家嗎？」

他說：“為甚麼找我呢？你們不知道我必須在我父的家裡嗎？（“在我父的家裡嗎？”或譯：“以我父的事為念嗎？”）”

耶穌對他們說：『為甚麼找我？豈不知我應當在我父的地方麼？』

耶穌對他們說：「你們為什麼找我呢？難道不知道我必須在我父的家裡嗎？」

耶穌曰、奚覓我哉、豈不知我必在我父所乎、

耶穌曰、奚尋我為、豈不知我當在父所乎、

耶穌曰、何為尋我、豈不知我當在我父之所乎、

答曰：『何覓予為？寧不知吾父宅中、自有吾所有事乎？』

“ Why were you searching for me?” he asked.“ Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”

“ Why were you looking for me?” he asked.“ Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”

And he said to them,“ Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

“ But why did you need to search?” he asked.“ Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

“ Why were you searching for me?” he asked them.“ Didn’t you know that it was necessary for me to be in my Father’s house?”

And He said to them,“ Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?”

And He said to them,“ Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? knew ye not that I must be in my Father’s house?

“ Why were you searching for Me?” He asked them.“ Didn’t you know that I had to be in My Father’s house?”

And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

But he replied,“ Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

He said to them,“ Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

“ I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty. (niv)

The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.” (niv)

For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. (niv)

I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.” (niv)

In his defense Jesus said to them,“ My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” (niv)

“ My food,” said Jesus,“ is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. (niv)

Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. (niv)

To those who sold doves he said,“ Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”His disciples remembered that it is written:“ Zeal for your house will consume me.” (niv)

When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him,“ Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.” (niv)

As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. (niv)
