And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore[ him] fourfold.

石開恭立而白主曰：『主、願以家貲之半、施濟貧人、如有詐取於人者、願四倍以償。』

But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord,“ Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

But Zacchaeus stood up. He said,“ Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of what I own to those who are poor. And if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay it back. I will pay back four times the amount I took.”

And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord,“ Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.”

Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood before the Lord and said,“ I will give half my wealth to the poor, Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them back four times as much!”

But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord,“ Look, I’ll give half of my possessions to the poor, Lord. And if I have extorted anything from anyone, I’ll pay back four times as much.”

But Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord,“ Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I am giving to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I am giving back four times as much.”

Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord,“ Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”

And Zacchæus stood, and said unto the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have wrongfully exacted aught of any man, I restore fourfold.

But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord,“ Look, I’ll give half of my possessions to the poor, Lord! And if I have extorted anything from anyone, I’ll pay back four times as much!”

But Zacchaeus stopped and said to the Lord,“ Look, Lord, half of my possessions I now give to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone of anything, I am paying back four times as much!”

Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord,“ Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much.”

And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth[ part] thereof, and give[ it] unto[ him] against whom he hath trespassed.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto,[ and] give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest:

Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die,[ there shall] no blood[ be shed] for him.If the sun be risen upon him,[ there shall be] blood[ shed] for him;[ for] he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.

Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

But[ if] he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.

And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,And laid[ them] down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

Behold, here I[ am]: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received[ any] bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.

And all that believed were together, and had all things common;And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all[ men], as every man had need.And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

Therefore, as ye abound in every[ thing, in] faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and[ in] all diligence, and[ in] your love to us,[ see] that ye abound in this grace also.I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.

Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to[ our] father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse[ any] falsely; and be content with your wages.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Blessed[ is] he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
