And when Jesus heard it, he said unto him, One thing thou lackest yet: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

When Jesus heard this, he said to him,“ You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on the life which is life indeed.

but one thing is needful: for Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends by means of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when it shall fail, they may receive you into the eternal tabernacles.

Brethren, I count not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,

And he said unto all, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal:but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

But forget not this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Then answered Peter and said unto him, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee; what then shall we have?And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that ye who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And as they went on the way, a certain man said unto him, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.And Jesus said unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.But he said unto him, Leave the dead to bury their own dead; but go thou and publish abroad the kingdom of God.And another also said, I will follow thee, Lord; but first suffer me to bid farewell to them that are at my house.But Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after: That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of Jehovah, And to inquire in his temple.

And all that believed were together, and had all things common;and they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, according as any man had need.

For neither was there among them any that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,and laid them at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto each, according as any one had need.And Joseph, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas( which is, being interpreted, Son of exhortation), a Levite, a man of Cyprus by race,having a field, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
