亞伯漢曰：「不聽摩西與先知、縱死者復活亦不可勸化矣。」

“ He said to him,‘ If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

He said to him,‘ If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”

他们和保罗约定了日子，就有许多人到他的住处来。保罗从早到晚向他们讲解这事，为上帝的国作证，并引摩西的律法和先知的书劝导他们信从耶稣。

即使我们的福音被遮蔽，那只是对灭亡的人遮蔽。

亚基帕对保罗说：“你想稍微劝一劝就能说服我作基督徒了吗？”

保罗进会堂，一连三个月放胆讲道，辩论上帝国的事，劝导众人。

既然我们知道主是可畏的，就劝导人；但是上帝是认识我们的，我盼望你们的良心也认识我们。

于是众祭司长商议连拉撒路也要杀了，因为有许多犹太人为了拉撒路的缘故，开始背离他们，信了耶稣。

说了这些话，他大声呼叫说：“拉撒路，出来！”那死了的人就出来了，手脚都裹着布，脸上包着头巾。耶稣对他们说：“解开他，让他走！”于是来看马利亚的犹太人中，有很多人见了耶稣所做的事，就信了他。但其中也有人去见法利赛人，把耶稣所做的事告诉他们。祭司长和法利赛人召开议会，说：“这人行好些神迹，我们怎么办呢？若让他这样做，人人都要信他；罗马人也要来毁灭我们的圣殿和我们的民族。”其中有一个人，名叫该亚法，那年当大祭司，对他们说：“你们什么都不知道，也不想想，一个人替百姓死，免得整个民族灭亡，这对你们是有利的。”他这话不是出于自己的意思，而是因他那年当大祭司，所以预言耶稣将为这民族而死。他不但替这民族死，还要把上帝四散的儿女都聚集起来，合成一群。从那日起，他们就商议要杀耶稣。

愿上帝使雅弗扩张，愿他住在闪的帐棚里；愿迦南作他的奴仆。”
