And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent.

“财主回答说，‘我的先祖亚伯拉罕啊！他们不会听的。但如果有一个死而复活的人去警告他们，他们肯定会悔改！’

他说：‘不然，我祖亚伯拉罕啊，如果有人从死人中复活，到他们那里去，他们必定会悔改。’

“财主却说：‘不，我父亚伯拉罕哪！其实如果有人从死人中复活，到他们那里去，他们就会悔改。’

「財主卻說：『不，我父亞伯拉罕哪！其實如果有人從死人中復活，到他們那裡去，他們就會悔改。』

對曰、祖亞伯拉罕乎、非也、若有由死而就之者、彼必改悔矣、

對曰、不然、祖亞伯拉罕乎、若有人死而復生以就之、彼必悔改、

對曰、我祖亞伯拉罕、不然也、若有由死復活者就之、彼必悔改、

曰「大父亞伯漢乎！斯未必可也。若有人自死者中起而往告之、則若輩必幡然悔悟矣。」

“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said,‘ but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said.‘ But if someone from the dead goes to them, they will turn away from their sins.’

And he said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

“ The rich man replied,‘ No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.’

“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said.‘ But if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

But he said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!’

And he said,‘ No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said.‘ But if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

Then the rich man said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

“ He said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

And men were scorched with great heat: and they blasphemed the name of God who hath the power over these plagues; and they repented not to give him glory.And the fifth poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was darkened; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they repented not of their works.

Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
