And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them,‘ Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’

歸而集其友鄰、謂之曰、與我同樂、我之亡羊已獲矣、

會其友鄰曰亡羊既獲、與我同樂、

歸家、集其友與鄰謂之曰、爾與我同樂、以亡羊已得矣、

召其鄰友曰：「亡羊已獲、胥其與吾同樂。」

and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says,‘ Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; Seek Your servant, For I do not forget Your commandments.

Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled.

therefore, brethren, in all our affliction and distress we were comforted concerning you by your faith.For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God,

“ Rejoice with Jerusalem, And be glad with her, all you who love her; Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her;That you may feed and be satisfied With the consolation of her bosom, That you may drink deeply and be delighted With the abundance of her glory.”

When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord.

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:“ Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, good will toward men!”

So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, describing the conversion of the Gentiles; and they caused great joy to all the brethren.

Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
