But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered,“ This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

有些法利赛人看见了，就对耶稣的门徒们说：“你们的老师为什么与那些税吏和罪人一起吃饭呢？”

大家看见，就抱怨说：“他竟然到一个罪人家里去借宿。”

那邀请耶稣的法利赛人看见了，心里说：“这个人如果是先知，就会知道摸他的是谁，是个什么样的女人，因为她是个罪人。”

人子来了，也吃也喝，你们就说：‘看，这个贪食好酒的人！税吏和罪人的朋友！’

说：“你竟然进到没有受割礼之人的家里，又与他们一起吃饭。”

法利赛人和他们的经文士就向耶稣的门徒们抱怨，说：“你们为什么与那些税吏和罪人一起吃喝呢？”

原来，从雅各那里来的一些人到达之前，矶法与外邦人一起吃饭；可是那些人一到，他因为怕那些割礼派的人，就退缩，与外邦人分开了。

我以前在书信上给你们写过：不可与淫乱的人交往。我当然不是指这世上淫乱的、或贪心的、或勒索人的、或拜偶像的，否则，你们就必须离开这个世界了。但如今我写给你们的是：如果有人被称为弟兄，却是淫乱的、或贪心的、或拜偶像的、或诽谤人的、或酗酒的、或勒索人的，你们不可与他交往，连与这样的人一起吃饭都不可。

他回答父亲，说：‘你看，我服事你这么多年，从来没有违背过你的命令，可是你从来没有给过我一只小山羊，好让我与朋友们一同庆祝。而你这个儿子，这个与妓女们一起吞尽了你财产的，他一来了，你就为他宰杀了养肥的牛犊！’
