In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.

In the same way, you must give up everything you have. Those of you who don’t cannot be my disciple.

So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.

So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

So therefore whosoever he be of you that renounceth not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not say good-bye to all his possessions cannot be My disciple.

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

In the same way therefore not one of you can be my disciple if he does not renounce all his own possessions.

So therefore whoever of you who doesn’t renounce all that he has, he can’t be my disciple.

But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ.More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them as dung, so that I may gain Christ

So, leaving everything behind, he got up and began to follow him.

Then Peter said,“ Look, we have left what we had and followed you.”So he said to them,“ Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left a house, wife or brothers or sisters, parents or children because of the kingdom of God,who will not receive many times more at this time, and eternal life in the age to come.”

“ If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters— yes, and even his own life— he cannot be my disciple.

Then they brought the boats to land, left everything, and followed him.

When Jesus heard this, he told him,“ You still lack one thing: Sell all you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”After he heard this, he became extremely sad, because he was very rich.

But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property.However, he kept back part of the proceeds with his wife’s knowledge, and brought a portion of it and laid it at the apostles’ feet.“ Ananias,” Peter asked,“ why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the proceeds of the land?Wasn’t it yours while you possessed it? And after it was sold, wasn’t it at your disposal? Why is it that you planned this thing in your heart? You have not lied to people but to God.”When he heard these words, Ananias dropped dead, and a great fear came on all who heard.

saying,“ Give me this power also so that anyone I lay hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”But Peter told him,“ May your silver be destroyed with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!You have no part or share in this matter, because your heart is not right before God.Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, your heart’s intent may be forgiven.

because Demas has deserted me, since he loved this present world, and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
