I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”

Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing its fruit.

Then Paul and Barnabas boldly said:“ It was necessary that God’s message be spoken to you first. But since you reject it and consider yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles!

Therefore I told you that you will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.

“ Then he told his slaves,‘ The banquet is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.

Make sure that you do not reject the One who speaks. For if they did not escape when they rejected Him who warned them on earth, even less will we if we turn away from Him who warns us from heaven.His voice shook the earth at that time, but now He has promised, Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also heaven.

Since I called out and you refused, extended my hand and no one paid attention,since you neglected all my counsel and did not accept my correction,I, in turn, will laugh at your calamity. I will mock when terror strikes you,when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when trouble and stress overcome you.Then they will call me, but I won’t answer; they will search for me, but won’t find me.Because they hated knowledge, didn’t choose to fear the Lord,were not interested in my counsel, and rejected all my correction,they will eat the fruit of their way and be glutted with their own schemes.For the turning away of the inexperienced will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them.

“ This, then, is the judgment: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil.

See, your house is left to you desolate.For I tell you, you will never see Me again until you say,‘ He who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One’!”

Then He said to them again,“ I’m going away; you will look for Me, and you will die in your sin. Where I’m going, you cannot come.”
