耶穌復告主人曰：『爾設宴時、毋邀良朋昆弟戚屬富鄰、誠恐若輩還禮、則爾獲報矣。

耶稣又对请他的人说：“你摆设午饭或晚饭，不要请你的朋友、弟兄、亲属，和富足的邻舍，恐怕他们也请你，你就得了报答。

耶稣又对请他的人说：“你准备午饭或晚餐，不要请你的朋友、弟兄、亲属和富足的邻舍，免得他们回请你，你就得了报答。

耶稣又对主人说：“摆设午宴、晚宴时，不要邀请你的朋友、弟兄、亲戚或有钱的邻居，免得他们回请你，你便得到报答了。

耶稣又对邀请他的人说：“你设午餐或晚宴，不要请你的朋友、弟兄、亲戚或富裕的邻舍，恐怕他们又回请你，你就得了报答。

耶稣又对邀请他的人说：“你预备午餐或晚餐的时候，不要叫你的朋友、兄弟、亲戚或富有的邻居，免得他们也回请你，你就得了你的回报了。

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐、或晚餐、毋招爾朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐彼復招爾而受其報也、

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐或晚餐、勿請朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐酬爾而受報也、

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐、或晚餐、勿請朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐彼亦請爾、而爾受其報、

Then Jesus said to his host,“ When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid.

Then Jesus spoke to his host.“ Suppose you give a lunch or a dinner,” he said.“ Do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, or your relatives, or your rich neighbors. If you do, they may invite you to eat with them. So you will be paid back.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.

Then he turned to his host.“ When you put on a luncheon or a banquet,” he said,“ don’t invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Now He also went on to say to the one who had invited Him,“ Whenever you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor wealthy neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you to a meal in return, and that will be your repayment.

Then He also said to him who invited Him,“ When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.

And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee.

He also said to the one who had invited Him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor[ thy] rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you host a dinner or a banquet, don’t invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors so you can be invited by them in return and get repaid.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you make a dinner or a supper, don’t call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also return the favor, and pay you back.

爾若僅愛所親、何德之有？即稅吏亦秉此而行焉。

兄弟乎、吾人所信仰景慕者、惟在光榮之主耶穌基督。慎毋以勢利之習氣、沾污爾之信仰。設有一人、金環美服、入爾會堂；同時有一貧人、敝衣而入；爾殷勤謂美服者曰：「請爾上座；」而語貧者曰：「爾且立於斯、或坐我几下；」此豈非以偏心待人、而妄分厚薄乎？親愛之兄弟、爾其諦聽、斯世之貧人、乃天主之所眷顧、使其富於信德、而簡為天國之嗣子。蓋天國特為愛慕天主之人而設也。而爾等竟敢輕慢貧人！夫富人非即以勢凌爾、扭爾以至公庭者乎？

爾其慎旃。施濟行善、不可徇人耳目；不然、不能望報於爾在天之父矣。故爾於施濟時毋效虛偽者在堂中或市上、鳴角以求榮於人者之所為也。吾實語爾。彼已獲其報矣。爾施濟時、莫使左手識右手之所為；庶幾爾之善舉、隱而不顯；則燭幽洞微之父、必將有以報爾矣。

若夫以愛答愛、何惠之有？即罪人亦知以愛答愛也。以德報德、何德之有？即罪人亦類能行之。貸而思償、何恩之有？罪人亦相貸而相償焉。惟愛爾仇人、以德報怨、貸則不望償、斯獲厚報、而得為至尊者之兒女矣。蓋天主對辜恩負義者、亦涵弘廣大也。故爾當慈祥惻怛、一如爾父之慈祥惻怛也。

飢者飫珍饈、富人赤手退。

爾齋戒時、毋戚戚然作憂色、一如虛偽者之故毀厥容、惟恐人之不知其齋戒也。吾實語爾、彼已獲其報矣。爾齋戒時、沐爾首、潔爾容、勿令人見爾齋、惟暗中對越爾父、則燭幽洞微之父、必將有以報爾矣。
