For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.

People who are ungodly run after all those things. Your Father knows that you need them.

For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs.

For the Gentile world eagerly seeks all these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

Take heed that ye do not your righteousness before men, to be seen of them: else ye have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.

that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.
