But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you.

第能心存慈善、施人以德、則物之於爾、無不潔矣。

But now as for what is inside you— be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.

Give freely to poor people to show what is inside you. Then everything will be clean for you.

But give as alms those things that are within, and behold, everything is clean for you.

So clean the inside by giving gifts to the poor, and you will be clean all over.

But give from what is within to the poor, and then everything is clean for you.

But give that which is within as a charitable gift, and then all things are clean for you.

But rather give alms of such things as you have; then indeed all things are clean to you.

Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn’t fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys.

But don’t forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.

Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors him.

Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps there may be a lengthening of your tranquility.”

But as you abound in everything, in faith, utterance, knowledge, all earnestness, and in your love to us, see that you also abound in this grace.I speak not by way of commandment, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity also of your love.For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.

He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; he will reward him.

Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you, and Yahweh’s glory will be your rear guard.Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer. You will cry for help, and he will say,‘ Here I am.’“ If you take away from among you the yoke, finger pointing, and speaking wickedly;and if you pour out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will rise in darkness, and your obscurity will be as the noonday;and Yahweh will guide you continually, satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.

A voice came to him again the second time,“ What God has cleansed, you must not call unclean.”

Blessed is he who considers the poor. Yahweh will deliver him in the day of evil.

For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.

Give to him who asks you, and don’t turn away him who desires to borrow from you.

When Jesus heard these things, he said to him,“ You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. Then you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which when translated, means Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and acts of mercy which she did.In those days, she became sick, and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.As Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them.Peter got up and went with them. When he had come, they brought him into the upper room. All the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.

“ Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does,so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you make a dinner or a supper, don’t call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also return the favor, and pay you back.But when you make a feast, ask the poor, the maimed, the lame, or the blind;and you will be blessed, because they don’t have the resources to repay you. For you will be repaid in the resurrection of the righteous.”

Then the King will tell those on his right hand,‘ Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in.I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’“ Then the righteous will answer him, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink?When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you?When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’“ The King will answer them,‘ Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.

Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion. for God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.As it is written,“ He has scattered abroad. He has given to the poor. His righteousness remains forever.”Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness,you being enriched in everything to all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us.For this service of giving that you perform not only makes up for lack among the saints, but abounds also through much giving of thanks to God,seeing that through the proof given by this service, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the Good News of Christ and for the generosity of your contribution to them and to all,while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, yearn for you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you.Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!

Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord,“ Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much.”

What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him?And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food,and one of you tells them,“ Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;” yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?

Cast your bread on the waters; for you shall find it after many days.Give a portion to seven, yes, even to eight; for you don’t know what evil will be on the earth.

but you shall surely open your hand to him, and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need, which he lacks.Beware that there not be a wicked thought in your heart, saying,“ The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand,” and your eye be evil against your poor brother and you give him nothing; and he cry to Yahweh against you, and it be sin to you.You shall surely give, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because it is for this thing Yahweh your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you put your hand to.

This also will be my salvation, that a godless man will not come before him.Listen carefully to my speech. Let my declaration be in your ears.See now, I have set my cause in order. I know that I am righteous.Who is he who will contend with me? For then would I hold my peace and give up the spirit.“ Only don’t do two things to me, then I will not hide myself from your face:

As any of the disciples had plenty, each determined to send relief to the brothers who lived in Judea;

Now after some years, I came to bring gifts for the needy to my nation, and offerings;

Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.

and said,‘ Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your gifts to the needy are remembered in the sight of God.Send therefore to Joppa, and summon Simon, who is also called Peter. He is staying in the house of a tanner named Simon, by the seaside. When he comes, he will speak to you.’

For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with thanksgiving.For it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.

For you always have the poor with you; but you don’t always have me.

I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; except that to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Don’t destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.Then don’t let your good be slandered,for God’s Kingdom is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
