如果撒旦驅趕撒旦，就是自相紛爭，它的國怎麼能站立得住呢？

為此，我告訴你們：人一切的罪和褻瀆的話都能被赦免，但褻瀆聖靈卻不能被赦免。凡是說話抵擋人子的，還能被赦免；但如果有人說話抵擋聖靈，無論在這世代，或在將要來的世代，都不能被赦免。「你們讓一棵樹好，它的果子就好；你們讓一棵樹壞，它的果子就壞；這樣，一棵樹是憑著果子被認出來。你們這些毒蛇的子孫！你們做為惡人，怎麼能說出善的來呢？因為心裡所充滿的，口裡就說出來。

耶穌對他說：「撒旦，退去！因為經上記著：『要敬拜主——你的神，唯獨事奉他。』」

但其中有些人卻說：「他是靠鬼魔的王別西卜驅趕鬼魔的。」

照樣，舌頭雖然是身體上一個小小的部分，卻能大大地自誇。看哪，那麼小的火，能點燃那麼大的森林！舌頭是火，它在我們身體的各部分中，是個不公義的世界；它玷汙全身，焚燒人生的路程，而且自己卻被地獄焚燒。原來，各類野獸、飛禽、爬行動物和水族都能被制伏，也已經被人類制伏了，可是沒有人能制伏舌頭；它是不止息的邪惡，充滿著致死的毒。
