His sons brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger into the blood and put it on the horns of the altar; the rest of the blood he poured out at the base of the altar.

蓋牛羊之血、不能除罪、故基督臨世之時、曰、主歟、祭祀與禮物、爾所不欲、爾曾為我備一身、火焚祭與贖罪之祭、爾所不悅、我即云、天主歟、我來以遵行爾旨、在書卷載有指我之言、先既言祭祀與禮物、火焚祭與贖罪之祭、爾不欲不悅之、此皆遵律法而獻者、後則言天主歟、我來以遵爾旨、以是而觀、彼乃廢其先者以立其後者、我儕由此旨、賴耶穌基督一次獻己身、得成聖潔、凡祭司、每日立而崇事、屢獻一式之祭、此祭永不能除罪、惟基督一次獻贖罪之祭、則永坐於天主之右、待諸敵為其足凳、蓋彼一次獻祭、使得成聖者永遠純全、聖神亦與我儕為證、蓋云、主曰此日後、我將以我律法、置於其衷、銘於其心、此乃我與彼所立之約、且曰、我不復記其愆尤罪惡、罪既赦免、則不復為罪獻祭矣、○兄弟乎、我儕既賴耶穌之血、得毅然以入聖所、乃由彼為我儕所開永生之新路、自幔而過者、此幔即其肉體、

既出、至主前之祭臺、為祭臺行潔禮、取犢之血即牡山羊之血、塗於祭臺四角、

祭司以指蘸贖罪祭牲之血、塗於祭臺角上、傾餘血於祭臺之基、

乃宰火焚祭之牲、亞倫諸子奉血於亞倫、灑於祭臺四周、

遵律法、諸物皆以血而潔、若不流血、則無赦免、按天上物式而造者、當用如此之祭祀以潔之、則天上本物、當用較此更美之祭祀以潔之、

萬物所本、萬物所歸者、欲引多子得榮、遂使救之之君、受苦難而得純全、宜也、

宰牡牛及牡羊、以為民之平安祭、亞倫諸子奉血於亞倫、灑於祭臺四周、
