He said to Aaron,“ Take a bull calf for your sin offering and a ram for your burnt offering, both without defect, and present them before the Lord.

“若大祭司犯罪，祸及众民，他必须献给耶和华一头毫无残疾的公牛犊作赎罪祭。

“你要使亚伦父子们分别出来，做圣洁的祭司事奉我。你要选一头公牛犊和两只毫无残疾的公绵羊，

摩西牵来那头作赎罪祭的公牛，亚伦父子们把手放在牛头上。

然后，摩西献上作燔祭的公绵羊，亚伦父子们把手放在羊头上。

上帝的旨意是：耶稣基督只一次献上自己的身体，便使我们永远圣洁了。祭司都要天天站着供职，一次次地献上同样的祭物，只是这些祭物根本不能除罪。而基督一次献上自己成为永远的赎罪祭后，就坐在上帝的右边，等待祂的仇敌成为祂的脚凳。祂凭自己的一次牺牲，使那些得以圣洁的人永远纯全。

上帝使无罪的基督担当我们的罪，使我们可以借着基督成为被上帝接纳的义人。

祂无需像其他大祭司每天先为自己的罪献祭，然后为百姓的罪献祭，因为祂只一次献上自己的生命，便永远完成了赎罪的工作。

随后，摩西对亚伦说：“你要到坛前来，献上你的赎罪祭和燔祭，为自己和民众赎罪。也要按照耶和华的吩咐，为百姓献上他们的祭物，为他们赎罪。”于是，亚伦走到坛前，宰杀为他作赎罪祭的牛犊。

所以，他不但要为众人的罪献祭，也要为自己的罪献祭。
