“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying:‘ If a person sins unintentionally against any of the commandments of the Lord in anything which ought not to be done, and does any of them,

“你把以下条例告诉以色列人。“如果有人无意中触犯耶和华的诫命，要按以下方式献赎罪祭。

“你要告诉以色列人说：如果有人在耶和华吩咐不可行的事上无意犯了罪，他必须遵行以下条例中的一样：

「你曉諭以色列人說：若有人在耶和華所吩咐不可行的甚麼事上誤犯了一件，

「你要吩咐以色列人說：若有人無意中犯罪，在任何事上犯了一條耶和華所吩咐的禁令，

「你要吩咐以色列人說：若有人無意中犯罪，在任何事上犯了一條耶和華所吩咐的禁令，

告以色列族云、如有人誤干耶和華之命、為所不當為、

宜告以色列族云、如有人誤干我命、為所不當為、則必獻祭、以贖其罪。

爾告以色列人云、主之誡命中、若有人誤犯其一、行所不可行者、則當獻贖罪祭、

“ Say to the Israelites:‘ When anyone sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands—

“ Speak to the Israelites. Tell them,‘ Suppose someone sins without meaning to. And that person does something the Lord commands us not to do.

“ Speak to the people of Israel, saying, If anyone sins unintentionally in any of the Lord’s commandments about things not to be done, and does any one of them,

“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. This is how you are to deal with those who sin unintentionally by doing anything that violates one of the Lord’s commands.

“ Tell the Israelites: When someone sins unintentionally against any of the LORD’s commands and does anything prohibited by them—

“ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying,‘ If a person sins unintentionally in any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, and commits any of them,

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any one shall sin unwittingly, in any of the things which Jehovah hath commanded not to be done, and shall do any one of them:

“ Tell the Israelites: When someone sins unintentionally against any of the Lord’s commands and does anything prohibited by them—

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD[ concerning things] which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:

“ Tell the Israelites,‘ When a person sins by straying unintentionally from any of the Lord’s commandments which must not be violated, and violates any one of them–

“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying,‘ If anyone sins unintentionally, in any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, and does any one of them,

‘ If anyone of the common people sins unintentionally by doing something against any of the commandments of the Lord in anything which ought not to be done, and is guilty,

Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.

‘ If you sin unintentionally, and do not observe all these commandments which the Lord has spoken to Moses—all that the Lord has commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day the Lord gave commandment and onward throughout your generations—then it will be, if it is unintentionally committed, without the knowledge of the congregation, that the whole congregation shall offer one young bull as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma to the Lord, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats as a sin offering.So the priest shall make atonement for the whole congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them, for it was unintentional; they shall bring their offering, an offering made by fire to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord, for their unintended sin.It shall be forgiven the whole congregation of the children of Israel and the stranger who dwells among them, because all the people did it unintentionally.‘ And if a person sins unintentionally, then he shall bring a female goat in its first year as a sin offering.So the priest shall make atonement for the person who sins unintentionally, when he sins unintentionally before the Lord, to make atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.You shall have one law for him who sins unintentionally, for him who is native-born among the children of Israel and for the stranger who dwells among them.

But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance;

“ And this is the case of the manslayer who flees there, that he may live: Whoever kills his neighbor unintentionally, not having hated him in time past—

He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness.

‘ Now if the whole congregation of Israel sins unintentionally, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done something against any of the commandments of the Lord in anything which should not be done, and are guilty;

“ If a person commits a trespass, and sins unintentionally in regard to the holy things of the Lord, then he shall bring to the Lord as his trespass offering a ram without blemish from the flocks, with your valuation in shekels of silver according to the shekel of the sanctuary, as a trespass offering.And he shall make restitution for the harm that he has done in regard to the holy thing, and shall add one-fifth to it and give it to the priest. So the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.“ If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord, though he does not know it, yet he is guilty and shall bear his iniquity.And he shall bring to the priest a ram without blemish from the flock, with your valuation, as a trespass offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him regarding his ignorance in which he erred and did not know it, and it shall be forgiven him.

‘ When a ruler has sinned, and done something unintentionally against any of the commandments of the Lord his God in anything which should not be done, and is guilty,

Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

But Jonathan had not heard his father charge the people with the oath; therefore he stretched out the end of the rod that was in his hand and dipped it in a honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his countenance brightened.

And Abimelech called Abraham and said to him,“ What have you done to us? How have I offended you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done.”

although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
