“ If the entire Israelite community sins by violating one of the Lord’s commands, but the people don’t realize it, they are still guilty.

“以色列全会众若行了耶和华所吩咐不可行的什么事，误犯了罪，是隐而未现、会众看不出来的，

“以色列全会众若犯了错，在任何事上犯了一条耶和华所吩咐的禁令，而有了罪，会众看不出这隐藏的事；

“以色列全会众若犯了错，在任何事上犯了一条耶和华所吩咐的禁令，而有了罪，会众看不出这隐藏的事；

“以色列全体会众若无意中触犯耶和华的诫命，即使没有意识到，也是犯罪。

“如果以色列全体会众无意犯罪，是隐而未现、会众看不出来的，但他们行了一件耶和华吩咐不可行的事，他们就有罪。

“如果以色列全體會眾無意犯罪，是隱而未現、會眾看不出來的，但他們行了一件耶和華吩咐不可行的事，他們就有罪。

『若是以色列全會眾在永恆主所吩咐不可行的事上作錯了事、去行其一件，以致有了罪責，而那件事又是隱藏着而大眾的眼看不出來的；

如以色列會眾誤干耶和華之命、為所不當為、以取罪戾、而不自知、

如以色列會眾、誤干我命、為所不當為、昔不自明、

若以色列會眾、誤犯主誡命之一、行所不可行者、而不自知、遂致陷於罪愆、

“‘ If the whole Israelite community sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though the community is unaware of the matter, when they realize their guilt

“‘ Or suppose the whole community of Israel sins without meaning to. They do something the Lord commands us not to do. Suppose they realize their guilt.

“ If the whole congregation of Israel sins unintentionally and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they do any one of the things that by the Lord’s commandments ought not to be done, and they realize their guilt,

“ Now if the whole community of Israel errs, and the matter escapes the notice of the assembly, so that they violate any of the LORD’s commands and incur guilt by doing what is prohibited,

‘ Now if the entire congregation of Israel does wrong unintentionally and the matter escapes the notice of the assembly, and they commit any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, and they become guilty;

‘ Now if the whole congregation of Israel sins unintentionally, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done something against any of the commandments of the Lord in anything which should not be done, and are guilty;

And if the whole congregation of Israel err, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done any of the things which Jehovah hath commanded not to be done, and are guilty;

“ Now if the whole community of Israel errs, and the matter escapes the notice of the assembly, so that they violate any of the Lord’s commands and incur guilt by doing what is prohibited,

And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done[ somewhat against] any of the commandments of the LORD[ concerning things] which should not be done, and are guilty;

“‘ If the whole congregation of Israel strays unintentionally and the matter is not noticed by the assembly, and they violate one of the Lord’s commandments, which must not be violated, so they become guilty,

“‘ If the whole congregation of Israel sins, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, and are guilty;

“ Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin.

“ Or suppose you unknowingly touch something that is ceremonially unclean, such as the carcass of an unclean animal. When you realize what you have done, you must admit your defilement and your guilt. This is true whether it is a wild animal, a domestic animal, or an animal that scurries along the ground.“ Or suppose you unknowingly touch something that makes a person unclean. When you realize what you have done, you must admit your guilt.“ Or suppose you make a foolish vow of any kind, whether its purpose is for good or for bad. When you realize its foolishness, you must admit your guilt.“ When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin.

Then I will return to my place until they admit their guilt and turn to me. For as soon as trouble comes, they will earnestly search for me.”

Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins.There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies.For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.

If the mistake was made unintentionally, and the community was unaware of it, the whole community must present a young bull for a burnt offering as a pleasing aroma to the Lord. It must be offered along with its prescribed grain offering and liquid offering and with one male goat for a sin offering.With it the priest will purify the whole community of Israel, making them right with the Lord, and they will be forgiven. For it was an unintentional sin, and they have corrected it with their offerings to the Lord— the special gift and the sin offering.The whole community of Israel will be forgiven, including the foreigners living among you, for all the people were involved in the sin.“ If one individual commits an unintentional sin, the guilty person must bring a one year old female goat for a sin offering.The priest will sacrifice it to purify the guilty person before the Lord, and that person will be forgiven.These same instructions apply both to native born Israelites and to the foreigners living among you.

Then Joshua and all the Israelites took Achan, the silver, the robe, the bar of gold, his sons, daughters, cattle, donkeys, sheep, goats, tent, and everything he had, and they brought them to the valley of Achor.Then Joshua said to Achan,“ Why have you brought trouble on us? The Lord will now bring trouble on you.” And all the Israelites stoned Achan and his family and burned their bodies.They piled a great heap of stones over Achan, which remains to this day. That is why the place has been called the Valley of Trouble ever since. So the Lord was no longer angry.

They vowed to divorce their wives, and they each acknowledged their guilt by offering a ram as a guilt offering.

Israel has sinned and broken my covenant! They have stolen some of the things that I commanded must be set apart for me. And they have not only stolen them but have lied about it and hidden the things among their own belongings.

even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. This is how you are to deal with those who sin unintentionally by doing anything that violates one of the Lord’s commands.

So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.

If you have sinned in any of these ways, you are guilty. You must give back whatever you stole, or the money you took by extortion, or the security deposit, or the lost property you found,
